General Meeting on “Using technology to facilitate communication”

staff members explain some methods of communication
A photo from our General Meeting on “Using technology to facilitate communication”. It was held at Autism Place on Saturday 23rd January. Members of staff organised and presented information on both low tech and high tech methods that parents can use with their children and adults on the autism spectrum. Parents  took part in a session where they had to explain different scenarios non verbally to all participants. They had lots of fun and got many laughs but it made them realise that it was also a very challenging exercise.
Thanks also to Ms. Marilyn Moore, volunteer from Canada, for assisting with the workshop.
